How Long To Lose Weight Running 3 Miles A Day

How long does it take to lose weight by running?

I?m 15 and thought I?d start running I only want to lose like 10 to 20 lbs and I?m probably going to run about 3 miles a day. How long do you think it will take because after I?d like to work up to running distance.

A good amount depends on how much in your diet you have to adjust, too. Some people have a lot of junk/empty calories they can cut out, and others are closer to a healthy diet already that they shouldn?t mess with.

If you?re able to get on a decent regular routine and have diet adjustment to do, most people can drop about 5 sustainable pounds per month.

3 miles per day would still probably be around the ?fitness maintenance? category. You?d probably have to eventually increase that, even by walking, or else have a big diet change you really need to do to have somewhat rapid weight loss.

I?d mainly focus on going out there and improving your health and fitness, and worry about how to improve your running first and foremost. If it would be healthy for you to lose weight, it will tend to eventually fall into place as a symptom of a good exercise/diet routine.

I weigh 226 pounds, I have some belly fat, I am going to run 1 mile everyday for 3 months. I am 17, 6 foot 1 inch tall. How long do you think it will take to lose some weight, and about how much will I lose?

The majority of your food should be WHOLE, unprocessed food such as apples, nuts, vegetables, etc. Eliminate all high fructose corn syrup products from your body.
Do not eat ~ 2 hours before bedtime.
Do not eat refined sugars.
All calories are not equal. A 200 calorie serving of beans will contain more phyto/plant nutrients than a candy bar and natural foods are absorbed at a metabolically safe rate.
Drink 2-3 extra large glasses of ICE cold water during the day. You will feel better and some calories will be burned also.

Swim, bike, run, eat, sleep, it is all important for health.
Running a mile everyday for 3 months won?t do you any good if you do not sleep right or feed yourself real, healthy food.

If i jog/run 3 miles a day and maintain a good diet, how long will it take to see some results, with regards to weight loss and slimming down and losing a little flab around the midsection? Im 18 years old. Male. 190 lbs. 6?2?.

If you are consistent, others will start seeing your results in about 4 weeks. I did this and it was just shy of a month . . . And in that month I lost 11 pounds. Over the next two months I worked out sporadically and lost another 10. I gained it all back and lost it again . . . And now I?m heading to Taco Johns. :)

Two theories to weight loss according to doctors I have talked to:

Do 40 minutes of exercise at least four times a week to see some weight loss. Three times a week will help you maintain your weight. Four or more will help you lose. Don?t forget it takes about 3-6 weeks until the weight will really start to come off.

Try to do cardio as long as you can. Up until 30 minutes of cardio and you won?t see much weight loss. From 40 minutes and over you are burning fat at a much faster rate.
